District C Observes Yom Kippur

Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement in the Jewish faith, begins at sundown on Tuesday. It is a day of fasting, repentance and self-examination. Jews traditionally refrain from working to gather in synagogue on this High Holy Day. For this reason, the District C office will be closed on Wednesday, September 19th in commemoration of Yom Kippur. Mayor Pro Tem Cohen wishes everyone an easy and meaningful fast.
