Council to Vote on FY2020 Budget

Budget Day is approaching! ThisWednesday, June 5th, my colleagues and I are scheduled to vote on the City of Houston’s proposed budget for FY2020. Throughout May, we have conducted a series of budget workshops, during which each City department’s functionality and spending has been reviewed in preparation of passing a balanced and fiscally conservative budget. FY2020 will begin July 1, 2019.

Council Meetings are open to the public and include the opportunity for public comment. The meeting will be aired live on HTV and live-streamed online. We will begin at 9AM in Council Chambers at City Hall.
