What’s Happening in the District
District C’s Montrose neighborhood will host the final Cigna Sunday Streets event for the Spring 2018 season on Sunday, May 20th. Westheimer Rd (from Taft St to Woodhead St) will be closed to vehicular traffic that day from 12PM-4PM to open the area for pedestrians and bicyclists. This popular program attracts an average of 20,000 visitors per event and promotes a healthy, active lifestyle by encouraging Houstonians to explore their neighborhoods on foot rather than passing it by in a car.
